        Lasiter interrupted his conversation with t'Llhweiir for a moment to
answer Renaud.

            "I am pleased to hear that you now have something. I am still
in a very important conference with Admiral t'Llhweiir. Before you call the
press and the Romulan Ambassador, I want to hear what you and your team have
to say. Also, I asked you some interesting questions before you left my
office, and I will expect to hear answers to those questions as well. I
should be available to talk with you and your team in about half an hour.
If that is enough time to answer at the very least most of those questions I
will expect to see you. If not, let M'Rrenn know that you will need more
time, and he will put you into tomorrow's schedule first thing, 0700 hrs."
Lasiter's reply was totally professional and of that of the top ranking
officer in Starfleet. But when he returned to his conversation with
Carrhae, he was back to friend mode.

        {response}

"Very well. Until then. Lasiter out."
