The smile was more geniune. "That is quite alright, Commander," Bedru
replied. "Shows the right initative. I will see you at 1300."

After Lasiter left, Bedru walked over to the viewport that filled the
bulkhead at the far end of her office. She was grateful for the
interruption, which had pulled her out of whatever funk she had descended
into.
She was still stunned by the report, but now the shock had begun to wear
off, and she could begin to cope with her situation.
