Joe took a few steps away fromthe wall that he had been leaning on. " I do have a few questions, if you do not mind Commander Firehawk. Mr. Edwards, what do you know of explosives?"
"Don't answer that." replied Fenton.
David took notice of this and watched Fenton's response.
"Lt. Fenton, Mr. Edwards, please let's not get into a pissing contest. We can find this information out by going through your service record, and talking to your instructors at your tech school and your security training school. If you force Commander Firehawk to dig in the trenches for this she may become cross, and any hope of leinency will disapear. Honesty would be wise." Joe replied.
Audra had to admit that it was a surprise to hear herself discribed so. She hid her surprise as she listened to the response.
Fenton got a strange look. Then he wispered something to Edwards, who
wispered a little back.
David was impressed with Joe.
Joe nodded. He then turned around to face the wall by Boulay. He made a motion for Firehawk to come over. Once assembled... "This guy is a cog. From what you asked him, Commander, I think that the best course would be to talk to this officer that briefed him. If you like, I can work up a background on him before you talk to him. It would take about 4 or 5 hours to get the necessary warrents and prep the background. That is if you would not mind my assistance, and you would allow it, Captain." Joe whispered ever so quietly.
Audra nodded. "I may be deputized, but I am not exacty a professionally trained officer in cime investigation. I would appreciate anything that you could offer." Audra quickly turnd ot Boulay to make sure that it was all right with him.
"Done..." he walked away from the wall, "Mr. Edwards, what do you know of
Specialist Dunn?"
"Nothing. I do not know anyone by the name Dunn. " Edwards replied.
Fenton added, "What does this Dunn have to do with the charges that my client was arrested on?"
"Maybe nothing...we'll find out Counselor." David stood up, "I think Commander Garibaldi and I have heard all we need for now. Your information will be checked out Mr. Edwards, and if you prove truthful your release will be shortly. If not then Mr. Fenton has work to do. Commander Firehawk-unless you have any other questions, please see that Mr. Edwards is shown to a holding cell. Good day."
"I have everything I need at this point," she said as she moved over to Edwards. She indicated with her hand which direction he was to go in. She quickly escorted him to the holding cell and reported to her station in Ops.
They left and walked back to David's office, "Whatcha think?"
