To Dais, "Commander....how goes the work?"

"I am settling into thing quickly, sir," replied Dias. "I must admit,
though, that I have come across a situation in which I would greatly
appreciate your advice."

(response)

"Well, sir, earlied today, I was called down to customs to deal with a
situation with one of the Bajoran delegation. Apparently, he had been
searched by customs after some confusion with his paperwork and admitting
that he had a personal weapon not allowed by current transfer laws. I was
able to gloss over the illegal inspection by asking the delegate to turn
over his weapon until it was time to leave the station, which he agreed to."

(reaction)

"That is not all, sir. During the scan taken by customs, it was clear that
the delegate had a dismembered human hand on his person. I know that we
cannot legally do anything about that information since it was learned
during an illegal scan against a person with diplomatic immunity. I have
since had a chance to meet with Ambassador Palen. He has agreed to look
into the matter and to have a Starfleet officer work with him."

(response)

"Well, sir, I was wondering which office you would recommend I refer this
to. I really don't have much in the area of a Security or a legal
background. My diplomatic one is limited as well, with my only experiences
in any of these areas being part of starship operations."
