  When finished he continued, "It would seem as if there have been a few inquiries 
regarding your 'friend'.  One of my pets just reported that your friend is on the 
bar, but in someone's not so gentle care.  I do hope that help's you out, and 
returns a favor..."

"And earned you one," Matt told him.  "I owe you."  He nodded in gratitude, then 
glanced to his partner.  "Shall we?" he asked her.

As they headed out, he asked her a low voice, "you know any back ways into the Tri-
Cat?"
