"I can understand that. We're all being pulled in a million directions." He
looked at Lasiter, "Can the Council back off for a period of reorganization so
I can reorganize and dedicate to make some quick hard progress on some
projects?"
"They have reciently become somewhat hostile towards Starfleet. They like
to use us to score points with their home popluations. Feel free to give it a
try, but they may buck and cut your funding and demand more." Lasiter
replied.

"Well I will need some answers for the Council relatively soon I believe."
"What you or they need is irrevelant. Research is not like building a
starship where you always have measurable goals and bench marks. Good
research provides answers, but mostly new questions. Preliminary results are,
at best, all that are available."

(ooc: all that stuff is at home...I'm at work-no can do)
"Let me be frank...when I get told to do a job I do it...I was asked to
reenergize this department and I will get it done...how I'll do it-I'm still
working on but it will get done."
TBC from home...
