In the midst of her musings the chime to her door rang. It turned
out to be one of her aides, a Ferengi who had a nose for details. A
ruthless talent for the smallest detail. Some speculated that he was paid a
bonus for finding mistakes that others made in orders, requisitions, forms,
etc...

"Admiral, i am very sorry for disturbing you, but I have a mess here that I
just can not figure out." he said to his boss in a sheepish manner. Unsure
of how to proceed with the situation that was presented to him.

"Well, Commander M'Rrenn forwarded some classified reports to me yesterday,
and I have been tracking down the details ever since. It appears that there
are no less than nine (9) starships on planetary survey missions that fall
under our department's domain, bu I have no record of them under our command
nor do I have any record of any orders or reports, of any kind, from them
before. Very perplexing, if I may say so sir."

"Well, they appear to be looking for the same thing. All nine looking for a
planet with the same characteristics. A water world, class M, uninhabited,
with lots of 'free space' around it. I don't know what it means."
