It was not long before a call came into K'Tael's office.

Garibaldi, Firehawk, and Dais were also there still talking about the hand
investigation...

"Sir, Admiral Lasiter is on the line for you." called Chief manning the desk
at security central.

"Put him through, Michaels," was the simple  response made by the Klingon.

Once on the screen...

"Good you are all there.  I have just spoke to a few of my contacts on
Bajor.  While I had to promise that this would yield great results and that
this was not a targeted prosecution of Bajorans or a scheme to slander their
Ambassador, I was able to get their Minister of State to allow us to take
jurisdiction and arrest Allso.  Please understand that I passed along your
assurances this would be handled professionally, quietly, and quickly.  Plus
the proverbal pound of flesh.  Do not blow this people...  Their Ambassador
has quite a lot of pull in the Federation Council, and is extraordinarily
popular on Bajor and else where.  Just do your jobs, and nail whomever is
behind this.

"This case will have our priority, sir.  It will be concluded as soon as possible."

(response)

"OK people.  It looks like we have a go on this.  I think we should move quick.  I don't want the staff of the Bajoran Embassey to be able to have time to hide anything on this.  Joe, I would like you and Commander Dais to return to the Bajoran Embassey and bring our friend in.  Your faces should be familiar to them."  He picked up a PADD from his desk and downloaded a file from the mainframe to it before handing it to the two officers.  "Stop on your way in at the JAG office to get an arrest warrent.  This letter from Admiral Lasiter confirming the waiving of Ambassadorial protection from our friend by the Bajoran government should be enough to clear the way."

Dais nodded and looked at Joe to see if he was ready to get things started.

(Joe?)

The two men left to head off toward the JAG office to start their assignment.

K'Tael watched as the two officers left before turning to the station's Operations Officer.  "Audra, I would like you to keep things moving with the investigation into the Venasian incident.  We cannot afford to let that investigation fall through the cracks.  It is too important politically.   Keep along the track that you have been going.  It seems to be bringing everyone out."

"Understood, K'Tael," she said as she left his office to continue her talk with Pony, who she had left with those she had been working with.

After Audra left, K'Tael opened a line to the reception area.  "Michaels get me Lt. Holt on Mars ASAP."

A few minutes later, the familiar face of his assistant filled the screen on his console.  "Long time no see, Aravis.  How are things going with our friend over there?"

"All is clear, sir.  He is pretty secure here."

"Good," he responded.  "Is there any chance that you can get back here on the first transport?"

Aravis did not like the way her boss sounded.  "I think so, sir.  Is it serious?"

"That is an understatement, Aravis.  Do you think yor charge will be safe if you leave him there?"

Aravis nodded.  "There are few safer places in the Federation for him, sir.  I can be there in about an hour if you like."

"I will be expecting you," he replied before closing the line.  He leaned back with a sigh wondering what else could happen today.  It was not long before he got his answer.
