***** Various locations, about 20 minutes after the big meeting. *****
Michael Nash, Maggie Coyne, Nabru, Ensign Ra'aj y Caimlyn, and Katya Ostrov all recieved messages from their respective chains of command to report to Spacedock, Room CC125 at 1020 hours. Roughly one (1) standard hour away. Odd that the mission orders were missing. Odd that they had to go to Spacedock. What made it worse was that after a small amount of research revealed that room CC125 was in the Commander in Chief's suite of offices. Katya was at her home in St. Petersburg working in her garden, one of the few pleasures she indulged in. Her gladiolus were starting to bloom, and the early strawberries were ripening nicely. The roses were in bud, and her other flowers and vegetables were all coming along nicely. Sometimes she didn't know why she kept a garden - the nature of her work meant she wasn't home very much to enjoy it. But when she was home, it was a pleasant thing and busied the body at the same time. For one who dealt out death, giving life to her garden made her feel clean again, at least as clean as she could feel. She could take her aggressions out on the weeds and insects and forget about her hard life. When the message came, she was surprised. This was supposed to be her Terra rotation, even if it was coming to an end, and the location surprised her - Starfleet Commander in Chief's office. It must have been important for CIA to get involved. Starfleet had assassins of their own, after all. That new Caitian admiral was a good choice, and she'd watched things start to change in that agency for the better. So why did Starfleet need a CIA killer? Thinking about this, she rinsed and put away her tools and went to take a shower. If this was truly the start of an assignment, she'd have to call Piotr and have him keep an eye on her house again. He was a good friend, one of the few she allowed herself to have, and he was an excellent gardener. She'd have to get him a gift when she returned. After her shower, Katya changed into a pair of black leather slacks, black leather boots and a white shirt, brushing out her black hair and giving it a little flip at the ends. Putting her backup phaser in one boot, a knife in the other, and slipping on her shoulder holster before putting on her black leather blazer, she was ready to go. Before she left, she slipped a high-density polymer knife into a special holder inside her jacket sleeve. They'd remove the other items when she was searched, but she never felt comfortable without at least one weapon on her, and this wouldn't be detected by their scanners. Only a pat-down would reveal it. With one last touch to her makeup, she went to the CIA offices and transported up to Spacedock, wondering who else would be there.
