"We have some unknown craft moving in on an intercept course. We have not
been able to identify them as our long range sensors are on the fritz from our
last battle. However, the tingle in the back of my neck is saying that it is
our furry friends." came the reply.

any of the convoy ships, you've got us available to beam overrr and take
carrre of them. They won't expect a
tactical strrrike team to be meeting them on a
carrrgo vessel. Orrr this one."
>
"Just what I was about to suggest. Stand by... Admiral, the contacts
just came into range. They are the felinids. Intercept in 8 minutes. We are
detecting heavy scans being directed at the convoy, one ship at a time. They
appear to be looking for something, or someone. We may need your cloaked
friends."

"Very well. We are forming up battle lines now. They appear to have
found what they were looking for. There scanners have quieted down.
Intercept in 3 minutes."
Those minutes ticked by ever so slowly. But the waiting was not forever,
as the opening shots from the cats hit, hard.
The Hathor rocked as did the other escort ships. A flury of torpedoes and
phaser fire could be heard conimg from the weapons stations on the Hathor.
She was dishing as good as she was giving. The SpecOps troops were monitoring
from their ready area. They saw one freightor take a hail of fire, and
implode seconds later. They witnessed one of the smaller escorts vaporize.
They also saw a felinid cruiser cut in half by phasers and torpedoes from
Hathor and another escort ship.
Then the call came in.
"Lasiter to Kitanya, have a team stand by for transport to the SS
Carpetbagger. We are detecting transport signatures over there. They are
carrying high grade dilithium crystals and phaser bank controllers..... " The
Hathor rocked before he could finish. "You better take up positions around
here too. Our shields just went down."
