LCMR. Joe Gariabldi and CMDR Dais had had a long talk with Allso about the hand and it's transport. He has cooperated to the best of his ability, and that would work in his favor.

They had learned that the Bajorans would not try to use a courier again, but would take the hand out themselves, and then dispose of it. That could not be allowed to happen. They needed to id the owner of the hand, and to catch the bad guys with it in their posession.

Additional research revealed that the Bajoran Chief of Staff was taking an unexpected trip later in the day.

The two officers were talking in the privacy of the station XO's office just off of OPS.

"So, Commander Dais we have come a long way in this little handy investigation. My thoughts are to end this little thing as quickly as
possible. Perhaps if we jump on Rivik as he tries to leave. We do have the rights to perform a safety inspection of his ship. All we have to do is to wait until he is onboard and just out of dock. What do you think?"

"I do believe that taking that option would provide us with two opportunities. We would have access to his ship. He would also likely
become quite inflamed at our doing so. People make mistakes when they
become inflamed," said Dais with a smile. "Let's set up the safety
inspection for just prior to his planned departure."

"Great. I will confer with OPS. Can you go talk to Commander K'Tael
about getting some back up from him and his staff? Being polite will get us far, but being polite backed by fully armed Starfleet Security will get us farther."

Dais nodded. "I can do that right now if you like," he replied. "If there is nothing else, I will head down to his office as we speak."

Dais nodded. He watched Joe leave before taking a PADD with some notes before heading down to Security. When he arrived, K'Tael was with someone so he decided to wait until the the CSec was free.
