> Re-enforced with more spec ops folk the engineering team persued, and
>slammed into their line... well, jumped onto their mob. When the slashing,
>hissing, and biting were over there were 8 dead felinids, 4 dead Spec Ops and
>security folk, and three were safely beamed away.

"Okay, everrrybody out!" She and some others grabbed their dead and held
onto them for the beamout; they would get a decent funeral at least.

>Moments later they were beamed off o fthe Hathor onto the Sprague.
>
>From monitors in the transporter room Kitanya could see the Hathor, now under
>control, moving toward the felinid formation. With the last breath the
Hathor
>sent in at least 18 photon torpedoes and at least that many phaser shots into
>the Felid ships. When she finaly gave in to her critical warp core, 2 of the
>4 felinid ships died with her. As the explosion started, the transporter
>hummed into life. A half second after the Hathor blew up on a flash of
light,
>a group of 4 beings appeared on the transporter pad. Two materialized
>unconscious, and a third barfed on the deck. The fourth, Captain Lasiter,
>took two steps before he lost his dinner.
>
>After the spew-age, Lasiter commented, "Never, never again will I
transport at
>the moment any ship's warp core goes up. It is infinately worse than near
>warp transport." he managed to say, coughing a bit.

Kit went over to him, helping him and the others. "That was verrry
brrrave, Captain," she said. "Good job." She helped him recover his
balance and gave him a cloth to wipe his face with. "You and yourrr crrrew
arrre one hell of a grrroup of fighterrrs. You belong on a crrruiserr, not
a barrrge."

"Come on, let's get you and yourrr people to sickbay," she said, going with
him, the others, and her own people to tend to the wounded and the dead.
She desperately hoped that the end of the Hathor had forced the felinids
into retreat; there wasn't much more pounding this convoy or her teams
could take.
