>The company commander simply said, "Lt, get your team ready. I need a
>moment with Captain Boulay."

>The Lt. got the message, and took the squad elsewhere for a few moments.
>The Company CO, Boulay, and the other Marine Captain took a few steps away so
>to be sure that they were not over heard.

Here it comes...David expected this response.

>"Captain Boulay, let us be frank here. I am not exactly thrilled that you
>are here. I really do not feel comfortable having rear area folks here in the
>front. Especially since this area up until reciently was considered hostile.
>However, orders are orders, and HQ says I am to cooperate fully. So, in the
>spirit of cooperation, I would like you to reconsider your request." the
>Company Commander said to the two others.

David started to say something but was pleasantly interrupted.

>"Captain, if Captain Boulay feels that he needs to go out there, my sargent
>and I will go as well so your team does not have to worry about the 'rear
>area' folk. He has a job to do here just as we do. While he has not told us
>how to do ours, we should not tell him how to do his."

"I'm not here to work against you Captain....the Captain is right. I am here to do my
job and I will take any steps necessary that I see fit to do it. My orders come from
much higher."
