t'Llhweiir did not wait for Brennan to leave Lasiter's quarters. He had
to attend to the Vulcan healer, and Carrhae was too unsettled to wish to
deal further with the woman. Nor was it safe to go directly to Renaud's
office. So, as Lasiter had requested, she gathered her security escorts
and headed to the holodecks.
Once there, she debated between exercise or meditation. Noticing the
faint trembling in her hands she said to the computer. "Activate
t'Llhweiir Exercise Program, Level Six."
The doors to the holodeck swung open, and she instructed the guards to
stay outside. The level she had selected was barely within the safety
limits for her Rihanna physiique. The human guards would have been in
mortal danger.
Twenty minutes later, she emerged, and the damage she had caused to the
holodeck scenery vanished. The trembling in her hands had ceased, so she
was now ready to face Renaud.
As she neared his offices, she saw the retreating figure of Lasiter. Her
dark eyes grew sad as she watched him for a moment. Then, she turned and
entered Renaud's office.
"Is Admiral Renaud available?" she asked the being seated in his outer
office.
