Just then, a Klingon woman stepped into the Conference Room. "Starfleet
has always been a little too cautious when it comes to battle."
The Andorian officer wanted so badly to respond how her heart wanted to, but
her duty got the better of her.
"Welcome. Ambassador..." she said trailing off.
The Klingon woman made her way over to the small group of Ambassadors. "I
am Ambassador Valtris, newly assigned to represent the Klingon Empire." She
paused for a moment to let the statement settled before turning to Na'Tral.
"The Federation is openly courting the Venasians for friendship, yet, you do
not help defend them from traitors in their own governemnt."
"The Federation is not about to take sides in what is clearly an internal
matter without attempting to find out just who the aggressor. It would be a
shame to help the *wrong* people. Besides, I have never said that Starfleet
would not become involved. Just that it would prefer not to get in the
middle of a shooting war. Perhaps diplomacy could work, especially coming
from a united group of the powers in this part of the galaxy. If that were
to fail, then a combined fleet may be the only option."
Typical Klingons. Rush in with some perverted form of machismo. But it did
sound like fun...
"We shall see," replied the Klingon with a smile. "The Dominion was
definitely taught a lesson during our mutual war with them. We may have
different perspectives, but we do work well together. " Valtris liked the
little Andorian woman. She had fire. It was not everyone who was willing
to stand up to a Klingon ... even in a crowded room.
"Hope fully, we can deal with this situation before it reaches such an
extreme," replied Ra'aj. Her people had been on the side of the war because
they were rebuilding after their recent independence. "That is the purpose
of creating this Council."
Golan, who was standing next to the Aqualish Ambassador nodded in agreement.
The sole Starfleeter ventured a comment, "Than shall we sitdown and
discuss the options that we currently have..."
