Here's some news coming into the various government intelligence agencies. Keep in mind this is still only a few hours after the actual coup took place, so there isn't much:

-Vulcans: The Vulcans are searching the ruins of the Venasian embassy on Vulcan, and have so determined the fire began in the ambassador's office. No remains have been found; it is assumed that the ambassador and his entire staff were removed before the fire. The local spacedock reports that the ambassador's ship is still in its docking slip, because - curiously enough - the ambassador put in specific instructions only 2 days prior that only a direct order from the ambassador himself would allow the ship to be released for travel. Several Venasian military personell attempted to procure the vessel, but as the Vulcan port authority is fairly strict about following protocol, the Venasians were turned away.

-Klingons: The Venasian ambassador on Kronos remains in hiding. The Venasian military continues to look for her, stating "concern for her safety." Several Venasian trade ships which do business within Klingon territory were seen headed out of Klingon and Federation territories recently. There 5 colonies within Klingon borders; so far, there has been no public reaction from the Venasian populace, and it all looks fairly quiet.

-Cardassian: Same deal with the 4 colonies within Cardassian borders. The Venasian ambassador who was granted political asylum is still trying to piece together the events. She still has not explained how she knew to get out in time.

-Romulans: The ambassador on Romulus still hasn't been found. His office was ransacked, but the embassy personell are still in residence. Military personell have been stationed outside. Of the twelve Venasian colonies, one has voiced immediate outcry to the new government. However, that colony also lies in a very remote area of space, and has become almost autonomous over the years, providing almost all its own resources and government.

-Federation: Still no sign of Venasian ships except for those stationed above colonies, and no sign of Ambassador D'amondra. Of several Venasian colonies within borders, everyone seems to be accepting the news quietly, if not with some surprise. Venasian who have disappeared on Earth have started reappearing - and being accepted - at the embassy.

General news: A'amon is reportedly on Pacifica working with the new government. The Venasian residents on Pacifica are quiet. The Venasian media is re-broadcasting the statement from earlier, and covering general news regarding search for a home world and news from the border colonies. Everything sounds upbeat and bright-eyed according to the Venasian Media Service. Embassies have not yet opened.
