While David was stewing in his nightmare-ish
stay in the hell of rebel and now MAG custody, other events were happening.

Starfleet forces were turning over every rock
they could to find their missing marines and Captain Boulay. Col. Stark, the
SF Marine Commander of the policing operation, was making quite a few enemies.
 Barking at his MAG liason
officer every few hours for intell and status
reports on the efforts of the planetary defence force to fine his missing
personnel. He even sent several requests to his superior, Admiral Van Der
Loo, for intervention on his part.
For him to call his contacts at the planetary
government to help spur their folks along. What was plain was that they were
delaying, taking their time. {They being the planetary government and the MAGs
themselves.} All this was brought to the attention of others...

Colonel Justinian received a report from his
people indicating that Starfleet was putting on a serious full court press to
find a bunch of marines and a SF Captain that had gone missing. It detailed
the efforts of Col. Stark- the
changes in SF deployments, the repeated calls
to planetary defence force HQ and to Van Der Loo. The report also indicated
that Van Der Loo had done his job, namely nothing but get the way of Stark.
However, the repost also showed
something else... that Starfleet Command was
starting to ask some serious questions, and was not taking kindly to the
answers it was given.

Also given to Colonel Justinian was a separate dossier contained a full
description of the Marines that they were looking for. Some were in MAG
medical facilities recovering from injuries sustained in rebel captivity,
others were in facilities like the one that Boulay was in, and still others
were still unaccounted for.
Perhaps some time could be bought by turning
over some of the missing marines in MAG care... Also included was a picture
of Captain David Boulay, as well as distinguishing marks to help identify him.
