Lorin didn't waste anytime...he took and read the report as he walked to the USS 
Explorer. When he was standing still or in a crowd he closed the report for privacy.

He approached the officer-on-duty, "I need to see Admiral Lasiter please. He is 
expecting me." He waited....

"Admiral-Please pardon the interruption. The report is in sir....no progress in 
finding the Captain."
