Dr. Solcha left the room, returning David to solitude. He was faced with a
problem, hold out or give information to Van Der Loo. Van Der Loo may be part
of the problem out here, but just where did that little tid bit of information
come from... A trusted source... Or could it be a larger conspiracy than it
first appeared?

After wrestling with the situation, and possible solutions, for a few hours
David had boiled his problem down considerably.

Problem one- the mistreatment of the native population. He had not scene
any by the hands of Starfleet, but it was also clear that Starfleet was at the
very least part of the problem. Possibly Col. Stark and his folks in the
field, or possibly higher up to Rear Adm. Van Der Loo.

Problem two- the missing Marines. He did have some information on the
missing Marines. He was captured by rebel forces, or at least what were being
called rebel forces. The missing marines most certainly would have been taken
as well. Given that the 'MAGS' or planetary defence forces had raided and
taken over the rebel camp where he was held, it was also logical that the
missing Marines were now in the hands of the MAGS. Shoudl he tell or not...
Well, holding out could get the missing folks killed, or worse- tortured until
they wished they were dead. But telling had consequences too- Admiral
Lasiter... But Lasiter's anger could be calmed by the return of the Marines,
and the returned Marines could be used as witnesses against the party that is
really at fault- aka those that are brutalizing the local folk.

Problem three- he is still in captivity. He needed to get out of this base,
and there seemed no way to do that. He needed to contact SF Command to let
them know that he was alive, and well kinda safe. The only way to do that was
to cooperate with Van Der Loo.

Perhaps there was a way to do everything... Cooperate enough to help save the
Marines, and while doing so find out where Van Der Loo fits in to the puzzle
(listening to his questions and watching what he does with the
information...). Then when David is no longer seen as a threat, bug out of
the starbase and report back to Lasiter.

   {Thoughts???}

It was now dinner time, and the Security Chief returned...

"Captain Boulay, it is Commander Hewitt. Admiral Van Der Loo has sent me
to bring you to dinner."
