Happy New Year everyone. I hope that all of you have a better year than the last one.
On the update... David Boulay is no longer in the clutches of the rebels or the planetary defence forces, but he is in the custody of the Sector Commander, Rear Admiral Van Der Loo. The Sector Commander is under David's suspicion of some kind of corruption or wrong doing. While David was beaten rather severely while in his various forms of captivity, he is alive and to some extent healed. Although, there is some question as to whether or not he will be allowed to return to duty. At present our friend, Boulay, is at dinner with Van Der Loo and some of his officers. Bedru is still out with the JSOC team. Her situation is..., well, progressing. Admiral t'Llhweiir is preparing for a trip to Pacifica. After agreeing to let Dr. Brennan watch over the questionable stability of the CinC, she is off to investigate the suspected Venasian Coup. She will be traveling with Commander Dais and Commander Firehawk. Commanders Dais and Firehawk are preparing to go with t'Llhweiir. They are to meet aboard the USS Explorer and head to Pacifica where the investigation will commence. Commander K'Tael is taking over Spacedock Operations in the absence of the station's XO and Operations manager. He also is working on, what may be, the final parts of several investigations- the severed hand, the murder of Chief Investigator Telax, the shuttle explosion that nearly killed a Venasian delegation, and the murder of a confidential informant- O'Neil. All will be resolved with the assistance of Joe Garibaldi and a raid on a diplomatic ship. The Diplomatic Council... They have been meeting and sharing intelligence ever since the first word came out about the Venasian Coup. They plan on sending their own delegation to Pacifica to help resolve the tension diplomatically, and hopefully present a united front... Dr. Brennan was left with the unsatisfying task of playing watcher and nurse maid to Admiral Samuel Lasiter. His job is to bring his patient to President Montgomery in three days or relieve him. Admiral Lasiter has been busy. From talking with his son, and thus making a first peace with him, to talking to various key officers from around Starfleet. He has been securing support and positions for key officers for something yet unknown. Expect to see posts soon. Happy posting... Chris
