to meet<BR>
at the docking slip where the USS Explorer was birthed.<BR>

The dock crew was busy with final preparations for departure.� There was
an<BR>
officer standing just inside the hatch of the starship giving various
orders.<BR>
t'Llhweiir waited for the other members of her party to arrive before
approaching.<BR>
<BR>
The two officers made their way toward the docking bay and walked over to<BR>
Admiral t'Llhweiir.� "Commanders Dais and Firehawk reporting for duty,
sir,"<BR>
said the Trill once they arrived and slipped into a salute.<BR>
<BR>
"As you were." she said returning the salute.� "You are both right on time.
<BR>
Let's get aboard shall we...."� <BR>
<BR>
The two lower ranking officers slipped to at ease.� Audra simply nodded in
response to the Admiral.<BR>
<BR>
They approached the hatch.� The officer that was just inside the hatch
stopped<BR>
his work as they approached.<BR>
<BR>
Saluting, "Admiral, Commanders, welcome to the USS Explorer.� I am the XO,<BR>
Commander Lasiter.� The Captain is in his ready room waiting for you.� We
have<BR>
quarters set up for each of you on deck 7.� If you would follow me, I can
take<BR>
you to the bridge."<BR>
<BR>
"Thank you Commander Lasiter.� Please lead on.", t'Llhweiir answered.<BR>
<BR>
"Chief, take over here.� Get us ready for departure.� Captain wants to get<BR>
underway ASAP."� Lasiter said to a near by Non-Com.<BR>
<BR>
"Aye sir."<BR>
<BR>
"This way, please." XO Lasiter said leading the way down the corridor.�
They<BR>
entered a turbolift and up to the ships nerve center.<BR>
<BR>
Lasiter rang the chime and in they passed.<BR>
<BR>
There stood the Explorer's Captain.<BR>
<BR>
{Forgetting what we named this fine lassy so many months ago...}<BR>
<BR>
"Captain Allison Morrison, this is Admrial t'Llhweiir, and Commanders Dais
and<BR>
Firehawk."<BR>
<BR>
"Admiral, Commanders welcome to the Explorer.� It is a pleasure to have you
on<BR>
board.� We should be getting underway shortly."<BR>
<BR>
"Thank you Captain.� What have you been told of our mission?"<BR>
<BR>
"Admiral Lasiter came by a short while ago to brief us.� We are to<BR>
transport you to Pacifica, and to provide any support that you may need."<BR>
<BR>
"Good...."<BR>
<BR>
**** A good couple of hours later.� ****<BR>
<BR>
"Captain Nelson to Admiral t'Llhweiir.� We are entering orbit of Pacifia."<BR>
<BR>
"Thank you, Captain.� Once in Orbit we will beam down."<BR>
<BR>
"Very well, sir.� However, I would still feel better if my xo could
accompany<BR>
your team."<BR>
<BR>
"We can accomodate that request.� Have him meet us in the transporter
room."<BR>
<BR>
"Will do, Admiral."<BR>
<BR>
Moments later in Transporter Room 1, with everyone ready to beam down,
Admiral<BR>
t'Llhweiir give out assignments.<BR>
<BR>
"Commander Dais, I want you to take Ms. Firehawk and Mr. Lasiter and make<BR>
contact with the Venasian Government.� Find out what you can, and follow up
on<BR>
any lead.� Report in to Captain Morrison or myself ever 4 hours."<BR>
<BR>
"Yes, sir," replied the Trill.� He glanced toward the other two Commanders and
indicated that Lasiter could lead the way to their modes of
transportation.<BR>
<BR>
Commander Lasiter stepped on to the platform with the others. Nodding to the
transporter chief and a short moment later they were no longer on the
Explorer, but on beautiful, sunny Pacifica. <BR>
