K'Tael joined them on the transporter pads and they all took out their
phasers. "Energize, chief," said K'Tael just before he started to feel the
familiar tingling of the transporter taking hold.
They found a wealth of people there. The Bajoran Chief of Staff (Rivik),
Uglara, and dozen others ranging from known smugglers to Bajoran diplomatic
security folk. All there talking about something rather important, and the
box carring the hand on the table, open for all to see.
In space the two frigates were now in position to hold the two other ships
in place. Phasers were locked, just in case something funny happened.
On the Diplomatic ship, LCMR Joe Garibaldi and team had beamed over, and
were convincing the Captain that this was a routine safety inspection. He
agreed if only to get Joe to lower his phaser that was *not* set on stun...
K'Tael's team spread out to cover those around the hand as he moved toward
it. "Commander Garibaldi, I believe that we have something of concern over
here," he said indicating the human hand. "A definite health concern."
"Then I would say that it needs to be confiscated, and put in a sealed
container for analysis. Since it is a health concern, and our ships do not
quite have the facilities to handle them, I think it would be prudent if the
crew of your ship were isolated and quaranteened. As for the ship, it will
have to be impounded.", Garibaldi answered quite professionally, but still
quite pleased with the work that he and K'Tael were doing.
"Is there any indication as the origin of the health concern? Did it
originiate over there or did it come from this ship?" he asked expecting the
obvious answer to allow him to do the same with the ship he was on.
