The Hovtej had definitely provided for a surprisingly comfortable transport
to Pacifica. The Klingon vessel was gliding into orbit after a trip that
had, up until now, been fairly quiet. Commander Klothos was not sure
whether that was a good thing or a bad thing.
He nodded to his communications officer, who oppened a line to the planet.
"This is Commander Klothos of the Klingon vessel KMS Hovtej. I would like
to request permission to remain in orbit. Our ship is carry a number of
diplomatic dignitaries who are hoping to meet with your new leader."
There was little he could do at this point but wait for a response from the
planet. While waiting he turned to one of his officers. "Please go inform
the Council members that we have arrived and are waiting to hear from the
planet. They may want to join us on the Bridge."
The Klingon officer departed and returned a few minutes later with the whole
entourage.
After a awkward moment of silence, "Welcome to Pacifica. I am Normal Lorrey
of Pacifica Control. Permission is granted for your appraoch, and you are
cleared for standard orbit. Please refrain from live firing while in
Pacifica space. As for your request, I assume that you mean the new
Venasian leader. I will connect you with the Venasian Government Annex.
Enjoy your stay on Pacifica. Lorrey out."

The call was then routed to the Venasian Annex.
