Lorin returned to his office after making sure the children were safely
with Brennan.

Lorin continued on with some paperwork.
As the day neared an end, Lorin had become fatigued. It had been quite an
interesting day. From the boredom of the endless paper work, to the tedium
of reviewing the change of command ceremony that he would soon be involved
with for R&D, to the utter frustration of Rear Admiral Van Der Loo. All of
it together had made him tired, and ready to call it a day.
At just about the time that he called it quite, he got a call. From Van Der
Loo.
"Admiral Renaud, I have a call from Rear Admiral Van Der Loo.", called his
aide through the intercom.
It was about 20 minutes early for his next due report.

"Aye, sir." came the reply.
Lorin's screen became alive with light, first the Starfleet emblem, and
then the face of Rear Admiral Van Der Loo.
"Admiral Renaud, I have some news to report on the missing Marines and
Captain Boulay."
