>"Sure. There was a bar fight. I got wind of it, and followed standard
>procedure. I made a formal request to have the men turned over for
>administrative punishment. My request was refused by a Col. Justinian. He gave >me a
song and dance that my people started it, and were making asses of
>themselves. Harassing the locals in the pub, being rowdy, getting drunk... the
>usual run around. So, I paid the Col. a personal visit, and was refused
rather >forcefully. I repaid the gesture with one of my own- namely a company
of >heavily armed troops. When I got back to the our base, administrative
>punishment was the last thing on my mind. The condition of my men was first
>and foremost.

"That's the way it should be..." David nodded as he listened.

>For my concern for my men, I recieved an administrative reprimand.
Admiral Van >Der Loo took exception to my choice of actions. I did disobey orders
by >pursuing the matter with Col. Justinian, so I got what I deserved.
However, my >men got what no one deserves." David could tell that the Col. was
a bit angry >about the situation. Afterall, his men were still in the
base's sickbay.

"Thank you..." he documented it and secured the info once again. "I'll be honest
Colonel...I have documented a number of unacceptable actions-all by the MAG
personnel...shooting unarmed men or men who were defenseless on the ground. I am
extremely concerned."

"We share the same concerns, Captain. It is not just my people that are being shot.
The civies out here are victims as well. While I can not prove it, I most certainly
suspect it. When you consider that when a Marine company carries out a mission
identical to one that the MAGs do, and the civilian casuality rates don't even come
close. My guys and girls come back with a few injuries to the civies. Mags come back
with body bags. The look on the faces of the local is classic, they are not happy to
see either of us, but they know that we won't shoot unless we have to. The mags shoot
for sport. Locals know that they will be treated fairly by us, and who knows my most
MAG units."
