"Then you two have some work to do...and thank you for your efforts. Dismissed." Lorin went back to his paperwork.

K'Tael saluted and turned to leave.  Once the two officers were outside the office, K'Tael stopped Joe in the hallway.  He was never one to question orders, but Renaud's request was not of the ordinary.  "Joe, is this investigation approrpiate?  Shouldn't internal affairs be doing something like this?"
