"Please, sit," she said, sitting down next to him.  "You werrre oddly silent tonight.  
Is everrrything all rrright?"  Her manner was friendly and concerned.


"I am sorry.  I just have quite alot on my mind.  Before I came here tonight, I 
stopped by to see my brother for a social call.  We got to talking about when we were 
kids, and it sparked a few thoughts that were hard to shake.  Was I that distracting?" 
he answered trying to cover the thoughts that were still running in the background of 
his mind.
