They were admitted in to the offices with the standard procedure - check-in,
security check - and led to a larger, more formal conference room by the
same graceful Venasian woman. The large bay windows along one side of the
conference room opened to a beautiful water garden and allowed sunlight to
flood in. The window tint was adjusted for the time of day, however, to cut
back on the glare and allow more comfortable vision inside. There were, of
course, refreshments on the table.

The pointy-faced, weasley Secretary V'nquera was waiting for them, as well
as another Venasian. "Gentle tides, Ambassadors," he greeted with a slight
tilt of his head - the traditional greeting - "We are honored to welcome you
as our guests. It is not often we entertain such a distinguished group.
Allow me to introduce Commander Jonalla R'saran, one of the commanding
officers of our Venasian military. We are very fortunate to have Commander
R'saran present today; she also holds the position of being a military
liason to General A'amon himself. In the unfortunate circumstance that
General A'amon could not attend today, he thought it appropriate Jonalla
attend in his stead."

Jonalla R'saran was a familiar face to some. She had been on the news,
usually standing near A'amon, and present in the compound, commanding the
security forces. There was something... unnatural about Jonalla. While
most Venasian women were small and petite, Jonalla was tall,
broadshouldered, and even paler than most Venasians. Everything about her
spoke military bearing, but... somehow, alien. It was also unusual a
R'saran was in the military; anyone who knew about Venasian Houses knew the
R'sarans were legendary agriculturalists. She tilted her head at the
diplomats in the traditional - but very businesslike- manner.
