Lasiter noticed something about his old friend, but brushed it off. She seemed
somehow upset about things. They all were, and it was getting to them. Despite their
best efforts to hide it, and put up a stiff upper lip. Things had to change. It
couldn't get worse. It couldn't stay this bad for ever. Or could it.... Would it...
