The Hov'tej glided into Earth space. After a brief stopover at Mars to get clearance to return to Spacedock, the ship was coming into visual range of the station. The Ambassadors were waiting their arrival together in a room that had been assigned to them as a conference chamber. The room had a window that provided a clear look at the station, which had a massive breach in the lowest portion of the station. While it had been some time since the explosion, evidence of the destruction was still clearly evident.

Valtris stood at the viewing port. She felt her hands clench into fists as anger filled her. It was not that she did not have her differences with the Federation. She did not think of the station or those who ran it as "her" people, but she was angered at the cowardliness of those who would do such a thing. Terrorists were cowards who needed to hid behind annonymity to accomplish their goals. They believed in what they fought for, but they would not stand up in public to do so. Instead, they hid behind masks, attacked with hidden bombs rather than face to face, and were not individuals, but rather one of a few who based their identity on the organization they were a part of. She wanted to spit with disgust, but realized that it would do no good since the perpitrators of the explosion were not present."
