>Lt Knucklebiter came from Cmm. Shevab's work area, "Commander Shevab is
'breathing' and will be back in about two standard hours."

>"You mean he's taking a break." Lorin heard a nearby Engineering tech say
(sorry no offense Charles-I kinda prefer to reply for myself). Lorin just
gave him a glance and the tech quickly returned to his work.

>"No." said the Dilbian, "My Federation is excellent, he is exchanging his
gasses, he can 'hold his breath' so to speak for about two weeks, and then needs a few hours to exchange gasses. Nasty stuff like flourines, hydroxes and such."

>He gestured to the areas around him with a massive paw and lang arm. "
What area of repairs are you asking about? Specific sections,? Hull? Power supply? Sensors? Overall?"

Lorin wasn't pleased...he was being shown to an assistant first. He
wouldn't address this with the Lieutenant but with he Commander himself.
Before Firehawk could respond, "With all due respect to you, Lieutenant. I
understand you are his assistant but I would like to discuss this issue
with Commander Shevab personally. Have him report to Ops when he returns.
He will conference with Commander Firehawk and myself....alone. Any questions?"

Audra stood quietly by as she listened to the interaction.  She had to admit that this was the first time she had met a Dilbian.  Intimidating in appearance was the first thought that came to her mind.  She was surprised that he had not ended up in Security.

She also noted a bit of tension in the air between Admiral Renaud and the young bear-lilke officer.  He was controlling it, but it was definitely a sore point that Shevab seemed to put him off.  She waited to hear how Knucklebiter would respond.
