>Watson immediately came out of his office, "Just call me James, Linda.
>Thank you," He looked at the package, "Computer Priority I scan of the
>package in front of me.

>Linda nodded in response to the request.

>The familiar hum of the scan took place as a pale blue light encompassed
the package, which was approximately the size of old-fashioned shoe
boxes.  A sensor >read out came up in front of the Ambassador showing that
the small contained was empty except for a simple piece of paper.  There
was no indication of radiation >or chemical, biological, or incendiary item
within.

"End scan. Linda, in accordance with the new security on the station all
packages are to be scanned before being opened." He took the package. He
went into his office and sat at his desk where he opened it.

Inside the package was a curled piece of paper that would remind just about anyone of the old-style scrolls.  After unfurling the paper, the Admiral found a brief note written in scratrchy English.  The text included the following.

(OOC: This is addressed as a note to Na'Tral because she was still Ambassador the last time the writer was in contact.)

    "Ambassador Na'Tral,

My apologies for the mysterious method in which this message meets you, but it was the only means accessible to me under the circumstances.  I am writing in hopes of obtaining your assistance.  I am sure that you will find this no surprise, but I have not been brought back to Cardassia Prime as you and the rest of the Diplomatic Council were told by my replacement, Melora Damesh.  Instead, I have been placed under arrest and sent to a work camp.  I have become a political prisoner because of the work I have done in my role as Cardassian Ambassador to the Federation.  I am hoping that you might be able to find a way to help me gain my freedom once more.  Since my return to Cardassian space, I have learned of some disturbing developments of which your government needs to be told.

Golan Dulath"
