(OOC: Just a reminder to all to please make sure that when you respond to messages, please make sure that the address for the whole listserv [EMAIL PROTECTED] is in the To: section of the header. That should hopefully make sure that everyone get the message. This can probably be done most easily by hitting "reply all" or it's equivalent your ISP instead of "reply." Thanks .... =)! - AJ)
"Commander Shevab, reporting as ordered."
Lorin came out of his office at the appointed time and saw Shevab standing there, "Commander Firehawk...Commander Shevab, let's go to the Briefing Room please." Lorin didn't wait for a response-he turned around and walked into the Briefing Room and took his seat at the head of the table. Audra noticed that Admiral Renaud was playing it formal and decided to follow suit. She made her way over to another chair on the far side of the table and sat down. "Commander Shevab, this is Commander Firehawk -- she is Ops Chief. Since you will be working with her on occassions when I am otherwise occupied I thought we'd meet. However that is not my only thought for this meeting." Audra nodded her head. It was clear that he did not want her to speak but she wanted to acknowledge her new crewmate. He took a breath, "I will ask for your report momentarily but we have another concern to discuss. I will be honest -- I am pleased to see you came without Lieutenant Knucklebiter. I do not doubt he is an amazing assistant to you and you obviously work well together, however he is not Command Staff. I was questioned after the meeting the other day about why he was in a Senior Brass-Only meeting when I did not he would be attending so I could make Admiral Lasiter aware...honestly I don't like those kind of questions. From now on Senior Staff means just that. Do you have any questions?" {"Yes I do Sir. Would you have liked those space vermin loose in the meeting? My waldoes cannot lift heavy items nor can my cilia. And an attemp to move the cage with either would be very dangerous. Mr Knucklebiter is not only my second, he is my hands at sometimes, Sir. I find it amusing on many levels that the Federation cries out "Join us in Equality and Brotherhood", yet insist on rules regulations and equipment that is singularly suited for bipedal humanoids."} (response)
