Tela came over to his bedside.  "A friend of mine thinks he may have come 
across them.  He was doing some business, and saw them inside a storage 
dock.  It looks like at least some of the crew may still be alive."  She 
laid a Starfleet communicator - one that was badly beaten up and clearly not 
operational - on the blanket.  "He thinks this may be from one of the crew. 
Any way to find out?"

"There sure is, but I can't do it from here.  Any chance you could drop this off at 
intell?  By the way... what doI owe you folks for this one?"  Gariabldi was very happy 
to have this information...
