Lasiter nodded. "Carrhae, I would like Intell to work in conjunction with Special
Operations on this. Both units need to work together, to support each other in this
effort."

"Commander Garibaldi, I am sorry but we aren't going to have time for you to present
your findings. I have promised to keep this meeting short {OOC: and I am on vacation
soon, and don't want to hold either of your ladies up...CS }. Can you give them a
written summary, and they can follow up with you when their schedules permit?",
Lasiter said changing topics once more.
"Yes, sir.", the young Garibaldi said as he handed PADDS to the three flag officers.

"Thank you, Commander. Thank you both. ", Lasiter said to the men, dismissing them
from the meeting.

going. I have a few things to take care of myself."

With the meeting now over, Lasiter stood and departed. It had gone rather well. He
started back to his office...

The information that follows...
Garibaldi's Anti-Corruption Task Force had been very busy. They tracked down a
smuggling ring. One that was smuggling surplus Starfleet engine components, weapons,
even old shuttle hulls. He had evidence suggesting that the smuggling rings were
connected to at least two (2) organized crime syndicates and three (3), and possibly
more, of the police actions. The weapons were being supplied to both governmental and
opposition forces. Some of the components were even tracked down to the pirates that
were in league with the felinid invaders. But that's not all. Garibaldi and team
were able to determine where the contraband was coming from, and how this was all
possible. Apparently four (4) of the many Starfleet surplus yards were run by
officers, and contractors, that were on the 'take'. Officers from the yard
superintendents, auditors, and even logistics command were part fo the scheme. They
would divert material to one of the two and possibly three organized crime syndicates.
The Task Force is preparing to arrest a total of 10 beings that are believed to be
critical to the organization, and who could break things wide open. They are planning
on offering plea deals to the 10 in exchange for testimony and other evidence.
Currently under suspicision are 9 auditors in the inspector general's office, 2
purchasing agents, and even the Starfleet Quartermaster...
