was this noise made-before or after I came into the department? Any idea on
specifics?"
"That's were things get interesting sir. Nothing official has come from the CinC's
office on the topic. Before you took over, we had a meeting or two with the CinC and
a few members of his staff. I know that they were talking about some direction
changes at R&D, but we have gotten nothing official. Unofficial, there have been
some, well, rumors. I do know that one of the officers on Admiral Lasiter's staff is
the son of a Chief of Staff for one of the Ambassadors on the Committee- the Andorian
ambassador. There may have been some talk there..."
