>"Since you too seem to work together so keenly.  Perhaps,
Commander Ares, you should go in with a Caitain...", answered the
Klingon.  "We can monitor from the control room."

Daphne nodded as she turned to the group of Caitians.  "So, which of you
would like to work with me on this?"

One of the Caitians stepped forward, a pale-yellow furred female with a
short mane and almost jaguar-like spots on her fur.  "I will," she said,
as she bowed politely.  She wore a Caitian uniform.  "Captain Tr'Lawsh,
Caitian Planetarrry Defenssse Forrrce."  Her accent was heavier than some
of the others, but the time spent with the Klingons and Federation
species speaking Standard had helped smooth it out somewhat.  "And I
think you shhhould be the 'bad cop,' Commanderrr.  Thessse felinidsss
view yourrr ssspeciess asss wild, unprrredictable prrrey, a ssspeciess
fit only to be usssed asss food orrr laborrr.  They would expect you to
be violent and half-mad, the hunted who hasss at lassst capturrred the
hunterrr.  They would not expect that frrrom a 'civilized' Caitian, whom
they view asss weak, placid, and inferrriorr.  Like a favorrred pet, I
might be able to soothe yourrr savagerrry."  Her fanged smile and the
cold light in her eyes indicated just how dangerously foolish that latter
thought was.

Daphne bowed her head toward the Caitian Captain. "It has been awhile since I have been able to let my dark side out," she replied.  "It could be a bit fun.
