>"Smallwood here.  What is the situation?", came the answer.  Lorin could tell that >the officer on the other end of the call was in the middle of something when he >called.

>"I am sorry to disturb you Admiral but we have a runabout from the Research station >on IO that dissapeared. Claims we have so far is that a beam emerged from Jupiter >and the ship simply dissapeared. They have limited Security resources on the >station and I believe this is up your road."

>Smallwood was busy, and this call was not improving his mood a bit, particularly >over something that was not a threat to Federation Security.  "Admiral, have you >even sent a science or security team to start an investigation?  I may be in charge of >Fleet Security, but that does not necessarily mean that I have to drop everything to >check out basic research.  From what you have told me, there is no indication of >invasian or impending doom to the system.  When it gets to that point, give me a >call."  With that, Smallwood ended the call.  He did not have the time to waste >helping someone else do their job.

>(OOC:  It is fun playing a persnickety coot!)

(ooc: I have another name for him....:P)

Lorin smirked...he did not like being hung up on. He returned to the line for the IO Commander, "Commander. Thank you for holding-I apologize for the delay. At this point we need you to put together a Science/Security combination team. Get back to me with any results as soon as possible. Any questions?"
