>The face of a youngish lieutenant filled the screen as the station's communications >officer quickly responded.  It was familiar to McTiernan, but the CO of Station Kerry >was too worried to remember his name.  "This is Spacedock. Pawtuxet, you are >cleared to dock in Shuttle Bay 4.  I will tell Admiral Boulay that you are arriving."

>With that, the line closed.  McTiernan turned to Lorenna.  She could only shrug as >she set the course to the designated shuttle bay.

Lorin got the message and hustled down to the Shuttle Bay Waiting Room. After the Shuttle settled and the area was secured Lorin walked in and waited for the doors to open.

"Welcome to Spacedock. Commander McTiernan...I am Admiral Renaud."

McTiernan nodded.  "Thank you for meeting with us so soon, Admiral."  He turned to the other scientist who was with him.  "This is fee and Lt. Pweretza.  She is the Vulcanologist on the station."

(response)

The Betazoid woman responded.  It was clear that she was worried about what had happened but she was not as overpowered by the disappearance as her CO.  She was here to help him by supporting as much as to provide information.  "We were hoping that you could space some investigators to help us figure out what happened to LtCrs Ares and Howser."

"I believe you will have quite a bit of company when you return to Kerry. My team is almost assembled and I was preparing for a briefing on your situation."

McTiernan nodded. He reached up to wipe the sweat that was accumulating on his brown.  "Thank you,"  he replied.  "We have brought the sensor readings they initially got while on board the station as well as their flight plan, notes, and a recording of their transmissions during the mission."

(Renaud?)
