Bedru met the Cardassian's eyes evenly, her own _expression_ betraying nothing.
"I am honored, Ambassador Damesh, to serve as Star Fleet's representative," she
replied, allowing the Cardassian to draw whatever conclusions she wished from
the statement.

"Merely an introduction, Ambassador t'Khllrennz," Bedru replied graciously.

"Ambassador, you may alreday know Admiral Candace Bedru.  She is going to be sitting in on the Council on a permanent basis ex officio as a representative for Starfleet."

(Ael?)

Just then, the Ferengi Ambassador idled in.  Being new, he stoof off to the side.  He recognized everyone but the human female from the earlier session.

Rilg had to admit that he was nervous.  Thanks to what the Romulan Ambassador had given to him, he and the Ferengi Alliance was going to be a major player in the meeting.  He was hoping that he was up to the job.

(Anyone wan to say hello?)
