Bedru met the Cardassian's eyes evenly, her own expression betraying nothing.
"I am honored, Ambassador Damesh, to serve as Star Fleet's representative," she
replied, allowing the Cardassian to draw whatever conclusions she wished from
the statement.

"Merely an introduction, Ambassador t'Khllrennz," Bedru replied graciously.

It was clear that the Cardassian had not warmed to Ambassador Bedru. This, in Ael's
opinion, lowered the CArdassian considerably - difficult to do, since as a Cardassian,
Ael had little to no respect for her anyway. Especially considering that she
considered the woman to be an imposter in her position. Dulath should have been in
her chair, and the fact that he wasn't cast an even further suspicion over all of
Cardassia.

"I should think, Ambassador Bedru," Ael said with only a small hint of indignation on
the human's part, "that your status would preclude the need for your introduction."
There were few people that Ael held in such esteem - and particularly few humans - as
she did Candace Bedru.
