Lovely...he thought....he focused, "Admiral Bedru and myself will be meeting with Admiral Lasiter later on the Dultar situation I believe." Watson said.
With a nod, Bedru's eyes met Watson's briefly and skittered away nervously.
Valtris nodded her head to the Admiral. "Welcome to the Council Chambers. As I am sure that you are already aware, assignment to this organization provides no shortage of challenges."
Bedru took a deep, cleansing breath and said, "Thank you, Ambassador Valtris. I look forward to working with you and the rest of the Council."
Rilg nodded toward the Admiral. He was not quiet sure why the Federation thought it was necessary to have a second non-voting member sit in on the Council meetings. If every member included representatives from their military, scientific, or intelligence divisions, this room was going to get crowded fairly quickly. That did not mean that he was going to be rude, though. "Welcome, Admiral."
Melora Damesh continued her less than friendly behaviour, but that was normal for her with most people so the Admiral probably shouldn't feel too insulted.
"The Admiral is here in part to get an update on things dealing with Dultar. She is particularly interested in reports that have been assembled by us and by the Venasians on the planet. Our team has not completed its research, but it would be possible for us to get a report on what the Venasians found. While those of us who went to Pacifica received a briefing of concerns, it would probably be helpful to Admiral Bedru and the other new members for the representative from the IVC to reintroduce that informaiton."
Valtris was surprised by Plantoc Ra'aj's forthrightness. She tended to be more reserved. The Klingon representative was curious to see how the new Venasian representative would respond.
