"Of course," Colin told him, indicating for the admiral to precede him. Moments later they emerged onto the bridge.
"Admiral on the bridge!" someone announced. The bridge crew immediately drew to attention.
Black stood with the rest of the bridge crew, standing straight and tall.
Ariel Ares, who was already standing at attention straightened up along with Black/
"Admiral Jackson, I'm pleased to introduce Lt. Carrick, our navigation and flight ops officer, Lt Commander Black, Ships Operations, and LtCdr Ares, our tactical officer."
Black lowered his head slightly as his name was introduced.
Ariel also nodded her head in response to her name.
Jared was a bit surprised at the stuffiness of the junior officers. He knew he was an old man and that his uniform was lined with gold, but he preferred to be treated like a normal human being than a god.
"At ease, folks. I am just visiting the ship and taking advantage of your COs generosity at providing me with a tour of this fine ship. How long have you both been stationed on the Centurian."
"Just a few months, sir.", he answered deciding to save the comical response for when the Admiral knew him better.
