Jared raised an eyebrow at that comment.  It was rare to find priests of any religion in Starfleet, and here on the Centurian he had found one man who was one, and another who had aspired to be one.  The priesthood was a demanding vocation that could easily be compared with being a CO in terms of leadership skills and dedication.

"And the Church would be very lucky to have you.  So what does the Centurian do when she is not taxiing olf fogies such as myself around?"

"That's a good question, sir," Colin told him, the same smile still in place.  "We're still waiting to do something else."  He  chuckled softly.  "That's not entirely true.  The Centurian is mostly a support vessel: we've shuffled brass around a bit, we've had the occasion to dispatch and collect diplomats of many worlds and, on occasion, we've managed to sneak in a secret mission or two, usually carrying persons or particles to quiet destinations.  Things no one else wants to do, really, but things that need doing, and doing well.  And for that, this ship and her crew are uniquely suited."
