t'Llhweiir raised an eyebrow. If Liridian was as inexperienced as his question
suggested, how had he gotten this mission, especially one that CINC Lasiter had
taken a direct interest in? Why had Kitanya given him this assignment?
"Commander, it would seem to me that the makeup of your team would depend
primarily upon your investigative plan. What specialists you are going to need
to handle analysis, reconnaissance, etc. Since this is a Special Operations
investigation, I would presume that you would begin with personnel in your
department, then fill any perceived gaps with staff from other departments,
including Intelligence.
"Have you discussed this with Admiral Kitanya?" she finished, trying to keep
impatience out of her voice. Her Intel staff would never enter her office so
unprepared.

"Go ahead, Commander," t'Llhweiir said. "Commander Liridian, who is leading the
investigation from Special Operations, is here with me."

t'Llhweiir looked at Liridian. She would see just what he was made of.
"Commander Liridian, do you have any questions?"
