>"I would like a chance to get a look at the Promenade.  Perhaps we could
>grab something to eat while >we are there?" asked the new arrival.

>"Sounds good to me." They began to walk, "What suits your tastes Admiral?
>Old Earth American, Bajoran??"

>"Whichever place that serves bear out of the tap.  It has been ages since I have had a glass that was not >replicated," replied Jared with a smile and a sparkle of excitement in his eye.  He sort of doubted that that >would happen at a Bajoran restaurant, but he would not be picky.

Lorin's eyes lit up at the thought of a beer, "We've got just the place-a pub called O'Lancy's". They walked down and into the pub-just before they walked in, "By the way if you have a good story the drinks might be on the house." He smiled as they walked in.

Jared smiled.  "How much trouble do you think I would be in if I shared some stories of my old Academy days with Admiral Lasiter?"

They sat and waited until Beatrice herself came over, "Hello Beatrice-long time no see. I'm on duty but my friend here would like a beer off the tap."

"And wot makes ye think ye diserv a mug o' ale, Adm'ral?" asked the girl as she leaned on the table.  She was a tall girl with dark red hair and deep grean eyes.  She was pretty, but did not play on her looks.  She wanted respect for her talents, but was not afraid of teasing her customers.  They paid for their drinks as much with their shattered egos as with their credits.  It didn't matter if you were a cadet or an admiral, you were fair game for her teasing.
