Ael arched her eyebrows at the request for grape juice and wondered for a moment if Valtris meant for the juice to be fermented. She chose to accept the Klingon at her word, however, and drew her a glass of cole, fresh grape juice, offering the glass to the Klingon as she took her own seat facing her. She sipped from her ice cold water as she crossed her legs.
(Valtris said somethign about being seen so quickly?) "I would only hope, Ambassador," Ael told her simply, "that this should be taken as a sign of the respect for which I and my government hold you and your governement." (and then valtris said something about the morning's events) "I find myself surprised at your ability to be surprised by the duplicitousness of the Cardassians," Ael told her with a frown, but no reproach. "They seem, as a species, to be incapable of honestly." (and then something about Rilg, and surprise at Ferengi's being good spies?) Ael chuckled softly, but warmly. "I find myself often surprised by our vertically challenged colleagues," she told her, "and in particular by their current ambassador. He seems rather... liberal and foreward thinking for one of his species." (eh?) "Granted, I would not assume that their capacity for good espionage is up to ours, or yours, but... I think a little credit is due them. Though I must admit," she said, meeting the Klingon's eyes, "that it might be safe to assume they had a bit of assistance in this particular matter." -- Randy _______________________________________________ Spacedock mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://scifi-rpgs.com/mailman/listinfo/spacedock_scifi-rpgs.com
