RE: Report on mission
I was directed to gather information on possible corruption within the Security forces involved in peace operations.
Upon my arival at Genova, I was given the opportunity to meet with several officers in the main hospital facility. Every officer I spoke with said he was fired upon by the people they were sent to help.
I was then offered the opportunity to go into the field at a battlefield site to observe and talk to soldiers infield. Again the same was mentioned. One saw his partner directly and intentionally shot by friendly fire.
During that time there was an attack upon which I was hit. I woke up in a dungeon atmosphere. There was screaming all around me. I was tortured with various devices including electrical and direct beating. I was questioned heavily by the planet's military (again who we were sent to assist). Several times I identified myself as a Starfleet officer and was laughed at or outright ignored.
Then the facility was raided and I was brought to the headquarters of an Admiral Van Der Loo. I was again directly interrogated (more humanely) but again was ignored for the most part of identifying myself. I was denied the right to communicate home until I finally told him I completely agreed with what he said and I told him I would get him more manpower anjd firepower. I was told if I defied his direct orders he would destroy my career. I also had contact with a battlefield Commander named Col. Stark who said that Admiral Van Der Loo is definitely misusing his power and diverting troop attention from the original goal.
This Admiral Van Der Loo is definitely the head of the problem and will not be removed without plenty of evidence and even possible direct arrest. I believe he is responsible for various atrocities and genocide in the area.
Once I returned home, I reported fully to Admiral Lasiter.
