Ael smiled crookedly. "I doubt very much that will happen," she assured him. "She
knows that I would not sit by and allow myself to be bullied, and I doubt she would be
willing to enter into a contest she wasn't confident she could win."

The Ferengi just nodded his head. He was not fully confident of the future, but he
definitely felt better about it. That was for more than one reason, though the fact
that the Rihannsu representative had all but said she would make shure nothing
happened played a big role. "I thank you for your words of kindness and confidence,
Madam Ambassador. I am feeling quite a bit better than when I first arrived."

She walked with him to the door. "Your mind should rest easily," she told him kindly.
"You have the Rihannsu for friends."

"And I definitely appreciate that, Ambassador. You have helped to make me feel a bit
more comfortable about the situation. Thank you for taking the time to meet with me."

Once he was gone, she moved back to her desk and contacted Ambassador Bedru. "My
apologies for the delay," she told her. "I became rather suddenly popular. What can
I do for you?"
