>"I have to say they are a surprising people. They are different

"Verrry. I have learrrned a grrreat
deal about them, much of which wasss not what I expected. At
firrrsst glance, they ssseem to be a verrry one-dimensssional ssspeciess,
but they arrre extrrraorrrdinarrily complex. My closssesst frrriend
among them isss the fatherrr of the arrrtisst I mentioned, and he and I have
talked alot about ourrr homesss and ourrr peopless. He, forrr
inssstance, loves musssic and arrrt, rrreadss many bookss, and rrraissed
hisss ssson alone afterrr his mate wasss killed in an engine rrroom
explosssion. They arrre fierrrcerr than anyone elsse I've everrr met,
and quick to angerrr, but they can alssso be quick to otherrr emotionsss
asss well - joy, sssadnesss, love, sssorrrow. A verrry deep
people."
Daphne could imagine that they were. They had a complete
society, which was made up of all sorts of people ... politicians, artisans,
workers. It was just that the warriors were much more visible.
"It must be very satisfying getting to work so closely work with them ...
getting a chance to get to know some individuals that make up there
culture."
